How the Workbook Lessons Function in the ACIM Audio App

A Course in Miracles Workbook for Students consists of 365 lessons designed to train your mind to perceive the world differently. While the Text lays the theoretical foundation, the daily practice of these lessons brings about transformation.

In the Introduction to the Workbook for Students, the Course offers a straightforward guideline:

"Do not undertake to do more than one set of exercises a day." (W-in.2:6)

This principle is at the heart of the Workbook’s mind-training process. To honor this, the ACIM Audio app includes the Personal Lesson feature, allowing you to engage with the lessons in a way that aligns with this guidance and at your own pace.

No matter where you are in your Course practice, the ACIM Audio app is designed to support you in integrating the Workbook lessons into your daily life.

Which Setting Should I Choose?

While the Calendar Daily Lesson aligns with the Course’s guidance of one lesson per day, we recognize that students approach A Course in Miracles differently.

Here are some general recommendations:

  • Are you new to ACIM?
    • Try the Personal Lesson set it on Automatic to follow the Workbook as designed.
    • Need more time with each lesson? Choose Manual Mode to move at your own pace.
  • Have you completed the Workbook before?
    • Try Random Mode to receive daily inspiration.

Regardless of the mode you select, remember that the Workbook is a structured mind-training process, and its effectiveness comes through daily practice. As the Course reminds us:

"...it is doing the exercises that will make the goal of the course possible." (W-in.1:2)
